I've been using Eclipse's overclocking guide to overclock my 64 3000+ Venice, and have had no problems overclocking until I hit overclocking the memory.
I can bring my FSB up to 260 no sweat, but can only get the system to post, much less get into Windows running the memory at a 1:2 ratio, aka...
My computer used to work fine but after taking everything out and putting it back in, its being stubborn.
I have a MSI K8T Neo motherboard, and its D-Bracket tells me its hanging when it attempts to "Set low stack and boot via INT19h"
What the hell does this mean?
I have a 754 system all set up, and working great.
I have a 939 cpu and motherboard on the way, (long story) will I notice a noticeable diffrence from the two?
Enough of a diffrence to make a big switch?
No s754 club vs 939 club wars please.
Edit: Its a 3000+ 754 and a 3000+ 939 Venice...
One of my computers has this horriblely loud PNY 5200 PCI express video card.
I want to know if it'd be safe to deactivate the fan (cut the fan wire) without the card overheating.
I'd only use it in its 2D mode, and nothing too intense at that.
Everything is at stock, but I think I fixed it.
Just changed power settings and turned Cool n Quiet off in the BIOS.
And it is summer, the temp. varies.
At night it idles at 26C :)
But right now at 1012 its doing 60
Everything is instaled fine...its safe up to 67C?
I'm getting 59 C in folding, and its driving me crazy!
I have a 120mm and 80mm intake, and a 80mm output.
I'm using the stock fan and heatsink.
Is this too hot?
