Why does my iphone4 screen have a better viewing angle then my HPZR24?

I know the resolution of the iphone is better, I was just surprised at how much better the angle viewing experience was.

Why does my iphone4 screen have a better viewing angle then my HPZR24?

They are both IPS and the alleged great viewing of IPS screens is why I bought the ZR24. Although not as bad as my former PVA screen and of course much better then a TN screen, there is a contrast/color shift when viewing my ZR24 at angles. On my iphone4, there is absolutely no change even...

Question about Color Eyes Pro trial version

It's an excellent piece of software. I tried that versus BasicColor and was much more pleased with Color Eyes Pro

Question about Color Eyes Pro trial version

Yes, I have a spyder 2 and windows 7 and Color Eyes software works fine with it. Can this be purchased for less then the $150 they want on their web site?

Question about Color Eyes Pro trial version

I assume that after the ten days you can no longer perform calibrations but will the startup program that loads the profile in the video card LUTs still continue to operate?

    HP ZR24w

Geez, I wish I wouldn't have read that review. I was happy with the monitor but now and eyeballing the contrast and black levels. I don't think it's too bad. Not as good as my PVA but the viewing angle and lack of contrast shift is so much better, I'd still clearly take this monitor.

    HP ZR24w

I have tried both today and had much better luck with Color Eyes Pro, once I figured it out. I have it set for 120 right now but may recalibrate it with a bit higher settings. $175 though, yikes. Can it be purchased for cheaper? I hope that after the ten day period, you just can't perform...

    HP ZR24w

Ok, I will do so. Quick question that I hope gets answered today. If using the hardware calibrator, do I leave the monitor in it's default sRGB mode, or do I switch it to Custom Color?

    HP ZR24w

So until I buy a better device, what's the best software helper to calibrate it by eye? I have a spyder2 express but I don't think I'll waste my time even setting it up (monitor should arrive tomorrow). Of all the monitors I used it on, I've only been satisfied with the results of one.

    HP ZR24w

Guys, what's the best way to calibrate this monitor without a hardware calibrator? I used the EZ Tune software for my Gateway and it wasn't too bad. Does HP include any workable software solutions with the monitor?

    Gateway FPD2485W - 24" HD LCD

Guys, I just bought this lightly used from a friend for a hundred dollars. Did I get a good deal? Color and contrast is fairly good, comparable to my other PVA screen but boy is it a little heater! Killowatt meter says it draws 120W and I can feel the heat radiating off the front of the...

    HP ZR24w

I have one on order but meanwhile have a similar sized Gateway FPD2485W that I bought from a friend for $100 (good deal?). I hope the HP runs cooler. The Gateway is quite the heat source and draws 120W. The picture is pretty reasonable though (PVA). I hope the HP will be a bit better so I...

    NEC 23" IPS EA231WMi

I've been watching this monitor on Proadvantage where the price seems to jump around on a daily basis. Tonight, it's $295.63. That's an excellent price for this monitor isn't it?

Just ordered the Dell UltraSharp 2209WA

I'm a little nervous, never seen an IPS output before. I asked in another forum for comparisons between a PVA (what I have now) and an IPS and one response was although the poster still preferred the overall view of the IPS, the text and blacks and whites were crisper on the PVA. This is just...

    NEC 23" IPS EA231WMi

I see many of you have used or upgraded to this from a PVA. I really would like to hear your comparison opinions. I've only ever used a TN and PVA but really love the contrast "pop" of the PVA. I have read the advantages of an IPS, better color uniformity, no contrast shifting, etc, but are...
