Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Pfft.. no news here. Just another scumbag lawyer whining no one that viewed his ads were interested in filling out forms on his website or clicking through. So of course, he sued.
The purpose of those types of ads in his industry are for name recognition, not actual clickthroughs. The more...
Bleh, it's the same arguement they use for entire "poor villages" going into MMO's, behaving worse than the annoying kiddies, and making the games less fun as they use it to bolster their local real world economy. Granted, that's better than them actually stealing.. but it screws up everyone...
It happens every day. Our governement buys/trades information on US citizens with other countries, that would otherwise have been unlawful for them to obtain. Shared surveillance through Echelon style programs are the norm, and have been for a long time.
Each "spy" program, prior to being...
You're forgetting the Internet is international. Once your packets leave your local network/machine, or at best, your ISP's network, the packets are public. They're routed based on (hopefully) optimal path prediction. If your packets get routed outside of the US, or you hit a foreign...
We need a v-chip for people having kids they don't have the time to supervise, spend time with, or love. Let alone teach basic human decency, the meaning of freedom, and social skills.
And on a little note closer to home..
Think about all those cheap components many of us occassionaly pick up from "the local chinese shop" or sites like that (wonderful!) dealextreme.com
It's just as easy for them to mass manufacture USB keyboards/mice and other devices with chips that...
The Wayback Machine/archive.org's system takes time... months.. sometimes longer to process sites they archive. The proces is their automated cataloging, and until their automated systems parse the crap they bring in, it would take tremendous time and effort to identify and extract anything...
I have a PC I primarily use for single player games, and personal photo/video transfers from other devices. For a variety of reasons, I don't leave that system connected to the Internet.
I don't like, but can accept a one time Internet validation at time of install, but to force me to enable...
I agree with Axdrenalin, there are certain types of games I just prefer on the PC, this would be one of them. I wouldn't be comfortable playing a sports game on a PC, and I won't spend money on a game I'll be uncomfortable playing on a console. I hope Lucas changes their minds and recognizes...
