Uber Driver Kidnaps Three Men In Washington D.C.

I know the story is about D.C. and Virginia; but here in NY, Taxi and Limousine inspectors are unarmed sworn peace officers. As such they can safely chase and detain/arrest you. Its possible D.C. and Virgina penal codes also classify such inspectors as sworn peace officers.

FWIW; Most of these arrays are based on the older LSI tech, IIRC the firmware doesn't have the capability to read SATA drives beyond 2TB. They will get flaky with anything above 1TB (it'll work but the array may act strangely).

The interposers contain a controller with embedded logic firmware. Its not easy to read the data out of them. Without the original data from the disk in that sled its nearly impossible to get the correct DACStor information. The other problem with "dd"'ing is usually it contains information that...

Well here is the problem with using dd, the actual sled the drive is in has electronics on it that communicate with the enclosure backplane. What is done is that there is a section of the disk (the last 40MB or so) that contain data called "DACStor" that contains information such as the...

I *think*, we discussed this in the other thread quickly... IIRC, you only have the expansion controllers for the enclosures without a head controller, which would only allow you to see the enclosure as a giant JBOD. He needs the IBM FastT head controller, that has a serial port on it. You can...

    How to combine two subnets?

Silly but pertinent question .. how is the "client bridge" 192.168.1.2 attached to the 192.168.1.1 router?

Of course I'm basing that number off of the fact that we just got the bill from the summer season with the A/C's basically running all summer long so that number is infact probably wrong.

The environment was originally built for experimentation, and then I sort of put some things on there that I used all the time. Virtualizing the pfSense is something I plan to do but just haven't done yet. The power bill actually isn't that bad (at least in my opinion), ~$400 or so worth...

    Windows By The Numbers

100M "sold" licenses doesn't mean 100M installed user base. Personally speaking, I like Windows 8. I'm not saying its better then Windows 7, but, after using it since release, its not any worse.

Heh those Cisco MDS9020's look ... VERRRRY similar to Qlogic SANBox 5200/5600 switches.

Should be as simple as putting the head controller in the units to reinitialize the drives. FC switch isn't gonna help you much, here as it doesn't really have anything to do with this particular function of the controllers.

Ya you have expansion only heads no controllers. Its hard to reinitialize the expansion heads as you'd need to tap the RS232 header inside the controller (and power it at the same time). The expansion heads have "dumb" controllers, but still have firmware which is why you can't just attach any...

Ah ok ... so they don't have the head unit they just have the expansion controllers. However, if they are the smart expansion controllers they might still have a RS232 or rollover ethernet connection if so you could still access the VxWorks shell and try those commands. EDIT: RS; do you have a...
