Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
And one more update
Original before lighting. Lots of empty space...but I have a plan for it
After lighting #1
After lighting #2
I have a microcontroller(teensy 2.0++) hooked up to the lights in the case, so they fade from #1 to #2 (along with a ton of colors in between)...
I put a small overclock (to 4.4ghz) in the bios, and upped the ram to pc1600 with 11/13/13/35/2t timings and things seem relatively stable. The ram is listed as pc2400 11/13/13/31/2t, I'll continue upping the clock speed until it dies and see how fast it can actually run.
I can hear some...
Hmm...
I'll give some things a try when I get home tonight. If I turn all overclocking off in the bios the ram runs at pc1300, 1.5v, 9's across the board for timings. Not exactly what I bought, but it is stable. I'd expect to be able to run it at its listed timings with a...
Hey,
I have a new 4790k processor, ram, and all that fun, but I can't seem to get even a minor (5-10%) overclock to be stable. I've tried the auto xmp settings and the system runs prime95 for ~5 minutes, or a game for ~15 minutes before crashing hard. Once it crashes, it takes a minute or two...
Yay, 24 pin cable done!
I think I'm going to just make extensions for the PCI-E cables, will be far easier to keep neat looking than dealing with double wires.
I test-painted a dead fan (ignore the unsleeved wires and the crappy paint job on the bottom) and I'm not sold on my original plan...
And the promised second set of cables...
The ends are all nicely fit into their homes in the connector. Next up, the 24 pin cable and taking apart the fans to paint them.
Hey, I haven't really done any kind of case modding before, but...I put together a plan, and a component list, and have started down the path of creating something. It won't be as pretty as most of the mods I see on here, but, damnit, it'll be something I did
What follows is a chronicle of my...
