Hi,
Just wanted to chime in. This doesn't affect Seagate but WD as well. I bought a WD 3TB Elements USB2 since it was cheaper than the bare 3TB drive. Anyways got about 2TB worth of my ripped blu rays on it via USB and then took it out of the enclosure and put it in my PC's SATA port. To my...
Hey guys,
Just built a new PC today. Core i7 2700K, asus p8z68-v pro gen3 mobo, Antec High Current Gamer 750w psu, fractal design define r3 case.
The problem seems to be with the front panel USB connectors. I have a USB Internet modem that worked perfectly fine on my laptop. I plugged it...
I also thought about that and benchmark reports do suggest that would be the case. However, I'm on a P35 mobo, so running two gfx cards at once means the second PCIe slot runs at 8x speeds, instead of the usual 16x.
I guess a 5870 is better than a single 3870 X2 and so will upgrade.
Gaming was great with my two 3870 X2's in CrossFire. Then all of a sudden I got the atikmpag.sys BSOD. Running Win 7 64 bit Home Premium.
Checked the cards and the second 3870 X2 was dead :(
I tested the cards one by one (without CF). First one was fine. When using only the second card...
I am thinking of going with two small cheapo SSD with RAID 0 just to install Vista and another large 1 TB "normal" HDD for backup, installing games, etc.
I have my gaming PC connected to my 46 inch Sony LCD @ 1920X1080p resolution. But, since my current 2 Sapphire HD 3870 X2 in CrossFire is performing well, I just might hold on till the next wave of gfx card releases.
Thnx. From reading around, I find that a single card solution is the best way to go. GTX 295 is the fastest single card available, but as shansoft pointed out, he's having issues. So, I think I'm gonna hold out until the next wave of card releases (maybe the Radeon 5xxx series), since the 3870...
I'm going to build a new PC soon, with core i7 920 (overclocked of course :)), 6 gigs of RAM and Vista 64 bit. Anyway, I was wondering whether I would get a major performance boost if I ran two Sapphire Radeon HD 4870 X2 in CrossFire over a single BFG GTX 295. I've heard that games don't scale...
Thanks for your replies, guys, especially to spaceman. :)
I'm looking to spend no much than 300 bucks. And Devon AVR 589 seems too good to be true at the moment.
Hi,
I am looking to buy a receiver/amplifier. I have a Auzentech X-fi Prelude sound card and 5.1 Creative speakers. I am looking to set up my Sony Bravia LCD for use as both TV + PC monitor. So, I need a receiver which will work with the TV and PC audio and output it to my 5.1 speakers. Oh...
well, i used IE 7 and it did crash a lot. now switched to FF3 - light years ahead of IE. FF crashes once a while, but you have the option of restoring your tabs.
