well i sold them on at a minor loss. I went through three. The last one was stable at 2.6ghz on the dfi but needed 1.475 vcore.Looking around I noticed people were getting 2.6ghz on stock settings. when i tried higher it crapped out 2.7ghz and was a no go at 1.575 v core! so sold...

well the way in which I got stable was getting a new mobo.Sounds drastic but its true getting the DFI and primed last night for 6hrs and played Need for speed most wanted for 3hrs and it was stable as a rock dual prime stable no errors at 1.475 vcore. This dfi expert mobo is awsome :)

well I installed my x2 3800 ,opteron 146 and my opteron 170 and the mobo gave readings of 44c idle in all cases. I emailed epox about the issue and They repiled with "We have check this issue ,it is because the hardware design for sensor check is not smart ,so the bios for CPU...

Are the temps accurate on the dfi expert?

Yeah baby! 2.6ghz now @1.475vcore (in bios) Temps 40c full load dual prime stable. :D

what mobo are you running? I emailed epox about the temp issue and they said that there was an issue with the temp sensor on the mobo's

it will tell me the revision but not what week the chip was made

yeah i checked the ram timings i set it to 1T and set the the timings at default. I tried 2T and got the same results. I hope its not my mobo :( Any way have ordered another 170 and will have a play again.
