I have tried different three 80pin cables and two different 40pin cables. It is the only IDE device in the system (HD is sata). I tried using Master and CS. Also, Windows did not clock down the bus.

After a fresh install of WinXP, the cdrom drive will no longer read any cds. Everything shows up fine in device manager. I tried different cables and different ports. Also uninstalled the drive and ide controller and let windows re-detect them. It re-detects everything fine, but still won't read...
