Don't Expect XBone and PS4 Cross-Play Any Time Soon

Considering that there seem to actually be more games allowing crossplay between PS4 and PC than XB1 and PC, I wonder if the problem isn't in the list of conditions Microsoft has, rather than in Sony's, especially when it comes to a Microsoft-owned and run service like Minecraft.

    RX Vega Owners Thread

I have the card and a suitable monitor but no Adobe suite. Anything else you can think of where I could check?

AMD Radeon RX Vega 64 Video Card Review @ [H]

I fully agree. I went for the AIO (for noise reasons), which was similarly priced to the 1080ti at the time of purchase (it's already £50 more since then). Luckily, I don't own but want to play both included games, which are still £39.99 each in the UK, so that brought the price in line. As for...

AMD Radeon RX Vega 64 Video Card Review @ [H]

Thanks for the review! I had hoped for better results but after checking some other reviews, it seems Vega 64 is a good deal faster than my Fury X, so I bought one. I could have gone for a 1080 instead but considering that my monitor is more expensive than either card and supports FreeSync...

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Performance and IQ Preview @ [H]

Untrue, DX12 mGPU support is in beta and can be selected in the game's properties in Steam.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Performance and IQ Preview @ [H]

I don't think it has anything to do with the quality of the port and more with the developer deciding not to offer settings so low that all the work they put into the graphics are wasted. For someone who really wants a smooth framerate, I'd suggest a Freesync/GSync display, which alleviates the...

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Performance and IQ Preview @ [H]

In my opinion, that's not surprising. In many games, if you switch everything to low, you basically have a slightly prettier version of Minecraft, which is not the case here. Even on low, the geometry remains complex, same with lighting and FPS reflect that.

    DX11 vs DX12 Intel 6700K vs 6950X Framerate Scaling @ [H]

Would be interested in seeing that as well.

AMD Radeon RX 480 Supplies at Launch

I made no judgement on it, simply stated the fact. And 4% higher market share without new products and inferior performance at the high-end is certainly a better result than one would expect. Your question was very specific about profit within a single quarter, my comments are based on that...

AMD Radeon RX 480 Supplies at Launch

    1) AMD has been gaining market share in recent quarters without having better parts in the performance segment. Granted, we have no idea of whether or not that will continue but AMD's current strategy indicates that either they believe so or they have no other choice. 2) I don't know. But it's...

AMD Radeon RX 480 Supplies at Launch

That depends on a number of factors: 1) How does your plan for achieving long-term profitability look like? Even when you're bleeding money, it can still be the better option to go for market share in the short term. 2) Can you produce enough products to satisfy demand? If not, those 200...

From ATI to AMD back to ATI? A Journey in Futility @ [H]

That's true, for AMD it matters and if they failed at producing what they wanted, they'll have to have made some hard choices by now. From a consumer point of view however, provided that AMD does not go out of business, their original intent doesn't matter, only what we will be able to buy.

From ATI to AMD back to ATI? A Journey in Futility @ [H]

My humble opinion: what AMD originally wanted is completely irrelevant. If they wanted a high-end chip and couldn't get it, that's too bad. What matters is what they do with the products that they do have and can release, whether these make sense at their respective price points and if they can...

Lets say AMD vs Nvidia which deal would you really pick

Just wondering, do you have a GSync monitor? For me personally, unless I can hit 60 FPS minimum, lower FPS + Freesync feels much, much better than higher FPS without it. Numbers may be lower but responsiveness and visuals are much better.

Measuring the Performance of Each Game will Necessitate...

Kyle, I understand the idea of dropping metrics but for me personally, not having them would make the articles less useful because the experience I aim for is different than what you are looking for. For me, clarity trumps visual effects which is why I try to run every game at 4K, even if that...
