Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Sigh... Yes it's 2.93Ghz.... Look if you want to get technical about it it can dynamically overclock individual cores by up to 300Mhz (it's called turbo boost... And depends upon power and thermal constraints)... So it's really a 2.93-3.23ghz Nehalem... But I think I can be forgiven for rounding...
OS "Awareness" of hyperthreading is crucial for good performance.
I have a 3.0GHz 8 core (16 hyperthreads) Nehalem Mac Pro... and OSX 10.5 is NOT hyper-threading aware and screws it up all the time.
I write massively parallel scientific simulation code for a living... so I get the most out...
I keep a huge pump bottle of Germ-X (hand sanitizer) by my keyboard at all times. I use it all day long (especially after shaking hands with people...).
Also, about once a week a take a couple pumps of it and rub my keyboard/mouse down with it.
I take these precautions because I also eat...
I believe that both of those were slated to come out on HD-DVD. This has happened to many titles recently (Sweeney Todd is another that I can think of off the top of my head). I'm sure these studios had the HD-DVD's already finished when HD-DVD fell apart... and instead of moving to Bluray...
The PS3 is definitely "hurting" standalone sales. There is no doubt about it.
I, myself, bought a PS3 for Bluray... and just in the last month have had 3 friends do the same. What's really interesting is that even though none of us bought it to play games... _all_ of us are ;-)
I...
Here's my take:
10-Dynamic Contrast Ratio Measurement Specification
I absolutely don't agree. Sure... static Contrast Ratio is really important (maybe more important) and should be spelled out along with a Dynamic Contrast Ratio number. DCR is really important too though... what it...
I own 2. A 46" 1080P Sammy 4665 LCD for the living room / theater... and a tiny 20" LG LCD for my bedroom.
I wish I could have gone with something bigger for the bedroom... but the sister-in-law repossessed the TV she "gave" us many years ago that we had been using in the bedroom... and we...
I noticed this on my Comcast about a month or so ago. It really does blow on my 46" 1080p TV. I was watching Expedition Alaska on Discovery HD last night.... and just turned it off after a while because I couldn't stand the pixelation. With large sweeping pans the whole image just breaks up...
I agree... my wife freezes me out... and at work I have even less control (ok... that's probably not true ;-) ). My hands are always frozen, especially during the winter. For ~$15 I'd buy two!

I did try Camino... but it still wasn't Firefox. This is probably mostly a case of being used to one browser... and liking the way it works.
It is definitely odd to me that everyone on here says Safari is faster... I have to ask "What at??". For me FF on her Mac loads pages just as fast as...
As a new Mac user myself (bought my wife a Macbook about a month ago) I thought I would chime in here.
I've been a longtime Firefox user myself (used Mozilla back in the pre-1.0 days as well... only really moving to FF after it was a clear winner) and had tried Safari on Windows before I got...
Note that they don't just make some money from the Google deal.. they made almost $70 _million_ in 2006 (and almost assuredly more last year) and most of that is from google:

No... they aren't hurting for money. In fact... they have had...
Kind of a bummer... I got a good black friday deal on a HDA3 and have been enjoying HD-DVD's from Netflix on it ever since. I just watched two HDDVDs from netflix just this weekend: Stardust and Ocean's 13...
Hopefully, they just mean they aren't going to stock any new HD-DVD movies... but...
I have personally been with Sprint for 7 years... and have had no trouble. All of my family (both immediate and extended) is on Sprint as well... without a hitch.
Sure, calls drop every now and again when I'm going through spotty terrain... but that goes for pretty much any carrier.

I have to admit... I absolutely love this game! From gameplay to graphics it has it all!
Thanks for confirming what my friends and I suspected: that even though this game uses some very advanced technology and graphics.... it runs superbly on all of our systems. I personally marvel at the...
