Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
If you own an iPhone 4, look at how clear and brilliant that IPS retina display is. Put a matte screen protector on it and look at what happens to that clarity. I like this analogy to what LG is doing to their IPS displays. I find this effect the same unless you can get a less aggressive AG...
I have a Samsung 215TW (S-PVA) and a Samsung F2380 (C-PVA) to compare at home.
I would say the Samsung 215TW is superior in every way except for the AG coating. The 215TW AG coating is probably comparable to most TNs while the F2380 is almost like a "shiny matte".
The most terrible thing...
I have a Samsung 215TW (S-PVA) and a Samsung F2380 (C-PVA).
The AG coating on the 215TW is probably typical compared to a good TN panel.
The F2380 has minimal AG coating. Professional reviews and other users here have stated the same.
I had a Dell U2410 and the AG coating was a...
There is an 27" iMac displayport input thread in the Apple forum here. Looks like people are having success using the 27" iMac as a display. When the 27" LED Cinema Display arrives, I don't see it being any different.
Here is what I pulled.........
Thread ===> 27" iMac displayport Input...
One of the Zoltac GTX 460s has DP output (not mini). Will this work as per already asked by others with ATI cards? Anyone going to try this when the 27" is available?
I figure this is a better solution than using the Atlona AT-DP400 converter because I can throw my older GTX 260 video card...
I'm surprised that there are not more people complaining about this issue with IPS monitors. When I had my U2410, I thought there must be something wrong with this particular model from Dell. After all, the reviews and comments suggest that IPS was the best technology.
Coming from using an...
LG can't control tinting on even a small iphone display. See quote from Bit-Tech.
Quote from Bit-Tech:
"As if issues with using the smartphone to make phone calls wasn't enough, other early iPhone users are reporting problems with the much-vaunted high-resolution 'retina' display...
It's the AG coating from an IPS monitor. To make matters worse, others here are saying that particular model is about as bad as it gets.
BTW. Do you wear glasses?
I'm also waiting for some new PVA screens. The Samsung 305T seem like a good one to get but it is discontinued and no new anoucements for a replacement.
Eizo has 30" PVA screens but they are like 5 grand or something like that....
Can't comment on the U2711, I haven't seen it. But on the U2410, it was so bad that I thought what is the big deal with IPS technology. A TN screen looks more clear.
It seems most IPS screens have the AG effect to some degree. A lot of people are saying the Dells are the worst offenders...
My system:
i-7 920 DO
Asus P6T SE
Antec P183
Noctua NH-U12 P SE2
I'm glad others are saying the temps are normal. When I first got my system with the stock cooler at stock settings, I think my temps. were similiar. I actually stopped Prime95 before the temps. got past around 86...
Without looking at the exact definition of contrast, it is basically the contrast between light versus dark. Contrast is not the same as brightness. There is a brightness setting and a separate contrast setting.
Regarding TVs and projectors, this is arguably the most important aspect to the...

The IPS panels in ZR24W has the same crystallized surface from the color filters and coating like most IPS based monitors and the shimmering effect is very similar to Dell U2410 that I have next to the ZR24W on the test bench. Some people are never bothered by...
