Thanks phoenixfx!...yep, I did come to know that it cant be done in clone mode...and I was earlier living a lie since the HDTV was reporting "1080p" eventhough the resolution was actually 1600x1050..... the reason i wanted clone mode to work was because i like to use "Full Screen Video...

Got my hf289H from BB today....everything is awesome except one (major) issue.. When I connect my 1080p LCD HDTV to my Radeon 4870 X2 and enable clone mode, the resolution switches to 1920x1080 (from 1920x1200) I then cannot see the option of 1920x1200 listed anywhere in windows or CCC...

...Newegg finally has the i7 stuff (since yesterday)....wondering if I should have waited and saved $30 bucks since I am anyways stuck on the build. ah well..guess I got a few more days worth of drooling over the packaging..
