Thanks. I just wanted to double-confirm. Also, thanks to everyone who posted to help rule out non-psu issues.

Some more testing on the single card. Seems I can run the OpenGL benchmarks for ...a long time. But running DirectX portions results in the crashing. OpenGL should still be stressing the card to draw more PSU power, no ?

BFG 800 Watt non-ES ...unable to power system?

So. With one card still unable to stay stable. Can we rule out the PSU and focus on the MB as the issue? I would have expected that it would take less than 40 mins or so for a issue to develop with the PSU with the card running at 100% fan during a game/benchmark?

BFG 800 Watt non-ES ...unable to power system?

Fail. restart. Load up The Witcher. Play less than an hour. System shuts down. Load into windows. Registry hive (File) DEFAULT has been corrupted, but was recovered. --- I don't want to shift focus to the HDs as the problem. So I'm assuming that the constant hard offs must be...

I could probally swing the 780i. But if I buy locally, for quicker access, I'm going to get gouged a bit anyway. I'm going on vacation soon and wanted to have the rig ready so I didn't have to fret about it anymore

BFG 800 Watt non-ES ...unable to power system?

:( I was afraid of that. but I'd rather spend another 300$ on a top end motherboard than 300$ on a PSU that I didn't need. -- I'll test single card again. Test ram again. And head out and see if anyone in town carries the EVGA 680i SLI board. Can anyone confirm this would be a stable...

BFG 800 Watt non-ES ...unable to power system?

:/ I can't re-test for a bit. NV raid is in the process or rebuilding the array. (for some reason. when I booted with my external HD attached. Selected the correct array to boot from. It detected the HD as another array and tried to incorporate it into the current array without having been...

BFG 800 Watt non-ES ...unable to power system?

I've only tried with non-si and the card disabled in device manager. I'm assuming this is a fallacy right? That it's still drawing juice, even when it's not used? I'll pull it and test here in a minute

BFG 800 Watt non-ES ...unable to power system?

Sorry, it was late and I've been sick. The driver is teh 169.44 Beta. Selectable through the archived/beta selection process on the nvidia site. The Computer does not reboot. Does not blue screen. If I immediately start the system I get no post warnings (beeps or screen messages) the only...
