Acer AL2423W 24" Review, Pics.
You can force BF2 to run in widescreen mode but it works by cutting off some of the viewport in the top and bottom. So you will see sorta the the middle part of a virtual mega 4:3 monitor. You can get the details on widescreen gaming forum -

Personally i've decided i want a screen with IPS panel. The cons of IPS supposedly are poor blacks and poor response times, however, i have a friend who has a Dell 2001FP which uses a much older IPS panel and I personally have no problem with that display, leading me to belive that i'll like a... -
