    So I upgraded my CPU and want to sell off what I'm currently using. It's a retail Q9450 and I was able to achieve a 3.5ghz overclock with 1.4v on air cooling. With water, it will probably reach around 3.6-7ghz. Obviously, YYMV. My price is $235 USD or $290 CAD OBO

    These chips don't OC that well and cap out at 3.4ghz or less. So if you had gotten like a 5600+ at 2.6ghz, you could have OC'd it to 3.0 - 3.2ghz.     If you like to overclock and get a Q9450 that can OC to 3.6ghz like mine, then I would get a quad. Otherwise, get a E8400 because almost all of them can hit minimum of 4ghz.     DFI UT X48-T2R and Q9450 OC

    I have mine stable with everything set to auto except the vcore which is at 1.3. My current overclock is 425x8. I'm going to try 450x8 by raising the voltage of the NB and SB and see if I can get it stable. But even at 3.4ghz I am more than happy.

    Q9450 - crazy temps

    In bios my temps seem to be much lower than what Real temp shows. Even after raising the cpu from 3.4ghz to 3.6ghz there's difference in temps at all. In fact, my temps at 2.66ghz are the same as 3.4ghz. They don't seem to change at all, I think the sensor is wacked up. I'm not keen on low...
