    buy some nice peripheral. like Logitech Performance MX Mouse, or nice keyboard (quiet, or mechanical, backlit). Afterall, those are the components that you will play with the most. I love building pc. Have fun :D

    I like Lenovo's desktop a lot. Their stuff looks professional and seems sturdy enough. They go really well with Dell's monitor. All have that business feeling to it.

    i agree with others. Workstation card for work because the drivers in those card are optimized for that kind of abuse. Unless you just a student that is only going to run solidworks periodically, and game when u are not doing work.

    AM4 ... ? Is there any info out there? Theories?

    IF there is anything like AM4, it probably will break compatibility with AM3+. AM3 is really old. Next socket will probably come more than 2-3 years from now. Socket FM1 is still fairly new.
