    anyone ever heard screeching in their mic when playing counter strike source?

    I recently found out that there is some horrible screeching noise at the other end of my mic when playing CS:S mainly. then i found that the pitch of the screeching was proportional to my fps..turns out it was my frame rate and refresh rate causing the horrible noise, capped the fps to 65...

    *PICS* BC2 from 60fps to 120fps with i5-2500k upgrade from Q9650 Benchmark

    ITS THE GUN THAT MADE THE FPS DIFFERENCE!!!! jk jk i had the same sort of issue, i was running an 8800GT on an old P4 3.0 and i was getting a mere 50-60fps on CS:S...friggin counter strike!! got my new i5 3.2 dual core and i was running at 297fps...crazy jump currently have my i7 now...

    this might be totally wrong, but wouldnt running 8 energy efficient drives be just as bad or worse than running 4x 1tb? i think ur best bet would be to run an SSD if you're not too worried about data security (meaning ive read that a good amount crap out with in the first few months)
