Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Azhar,
I wasn't telling anyone how to think. I was trying to say that politics and tech sites don't mix too well. I am quite cognizant of those other sites that you mention.
Let me reiterate that I think [H]ard|ocp does a great job.I prefer it to any of those others that you mention.
BTW, I've read the [H] for man years. Again, you make an unsubstantiated assertion. If you have records to check, you will note that several years ago, I donated funds to this site in order to become a member. At the time, I did not have "noobie" next to my name in my (very infrequent) posts. It...
OK. I posted the last message before I read the one that you just posted. Sorry about that. If you meant to imply that tax cuts are good, it certainly did not come across that way. We need to be careful with what we say (and read, apparently).
Steve,
I did not say that you, personally, were name-calling, childish, etc. What I said (or meant to say) is that cheap shots such as "laws to be passed, taxes to be cut " are the usual tactics of the sort of people who are and do such things. It is beneath you and this site to say such...
OK, theDreamer, you are right that there are political posts all the time at this site. I'm just disappointed to see a gratuitous jab such as I just read in this one. Steve automatically assumes that we agree with him that tax cuts are bad, with no logical discussion to back him up. At least...
Hey Steve,
Please don't make the same mistake as Ars Technica: they pepper otherwise relevant articles with overt political bias. The readers of the [H] respect you guys for your technical prowess. We truly appreciate what a great resource this site has become over the years.
I, for one...
Why do you guys always say something isn't "tech related" when it involves some kind of tech? What is the definition of tech related?
By the way, houses made of water is not a new idea: igloos!
