Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Is it possible to use different CPUs (for instance, a Xeon 5320 and a Xeon 5310 (or even a Xeon 5320 and a Xeon 5160)) on one motherboard or would there be problems?
Thanks!
Ironically, I don't even expect them (NVIDIA) to, but damn is the 680i still flawed.
On a sidenote, my P5B Deluxe is up and running, reaching a higher FSB than the EVGA (470 MHz to be precise). No problems, whatsoever. Too bad I can't use SLI, I might switch back to the 680i once everything...
Sorry to hear that. I have lost all my faith in the 680i chipset as no board out there that uses it seems to be flawless. I ordered by P5B Deluxe today and can't wait for it to arrive and replace this piece of crap eVGA board.
I thought my board was rock-solid until now, but now it has begun giving me random C1 (memory) errors, random freezes and random reboots. I have double-checked every single component - it's the freaking board. I've had it with the 680i and am going to buy an Intel based board this week.
