Dust filter and 'Blackout' - I seek material advice

I think black panty hose would work well for you. I used it on my case and it is very breathable. As for the blacking out that you want, you might have to use two layers of it. hope that helps, oh and the stuff is super cheap

W.I.P i7 Beast, Too many fans and LEDs

I should be getting the guts by friday, while i have been waiting i decided to do a little more work on the case. I have hooked up a circuit where my LEDs (all of them) will flash to the beat of the music. I am using a transistor (TIP31 NPN) and a low pass filter so i just pick up just the...

    Adding a Fan

I do not think it would hurt it at all. Are you speaking of adding it to the bottom front of the case, around the HDD bay? It is my opinion that more fans blowing in (positive pressure) is better then more air blowing out of the case (negative pressure). Though since the fan is on the bottom...

W.I.P i7 Beast, Too many fans and LEDs

Thanks! i know it is an overkill for airflow lol. The red switch is for the LEDs turning off and on on the whole case. The blue circle on the bottom of the case is the intake pipe for the squirrel-cage fan (painted white). the flip top is the dustcover and it clips back into place easily. To...

W.I.P i7 Beast, Too many fans and LEDs

I am finished with modding the case, at least for now. Here are some pictures. I put in the PSU, HDD and DVD drive and did a little cable management, but nothing can really be done till i get the motherboard. I tried taking the pictures outside this time to help with lighting. also this is what...

W.I.P i7 Beast, Too many fans and LEDs

Thanks! Its seems like that card will be great. I looked at the GTX460 superclocked and it looked nice as well. I dont need a tremendous amount of graphics, but i also dont want to upgrade for awhile. The GTX460 ($250 at newegg) is $100 less then the GTX470 ($350 @ newegg). but maybe the extra...

W.I.P i7 Beast, Too many fans and LEDs

As i mentioned earlier i want to SLI in the future. I was thinking about buying the GTX 250 right now and then buying the same card later on to SLI. From yall's experience what do you recommend i buy for the future SLI? im willing to spend up to $300 on the first card. I do not need a whole lot...

haha i should have entered the post in that thread :P and yes i did put some time into the building the case but i dont have much money, so i bought one that was close to what i wanted then i just added the rest. I do still have the original panel instead of the plexi. The dremel i have is...

W.I.P i7 Beast, Too many fans and LEDs

HAH! well thanks for the support. The only reason it has SO many LEDs is because i ordered 1000 for 30 bucks, and i have a switch for them. So i figured why not add alot and make it really bright, because i can turn them ALL off if it ever gets annoying, like at night or during a movie.

W.I.P i7 Beast, Too many fans and LEDs

The shortlist award, is that a good thing? it doesnt sound very good. I regret not searching more for a better PSU, i nearly bought corsair but i figured with a 3 year warranty and the rosewill 1000W only being $115 that i would take the risk. I hope it ends up being alright. I cant wait to...

W.I.P i7 Beast, Too many fans and LEDs

haha it is a hack job. the plexi glass on the front makes it look bad. The case i started with this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811166054 as i mentioned it is a work in progress, But i was mostly aiming to have alot of air flow with a window. When i am finished it...

W.I.P i7 Beast, Too many fans and LEDs

i think you meant 1000W, which is what i bought. As far as the fans and LEDs i have done a rough calculation on the power used for all fans and LEDs, it barley come out to 5 amps. The PSU is rated for 20 amps for a single 12v rail, which is all that will be used to power them all. I believe i...
