I could care less to get the max res but is there a way to get 1900x1200 or even 1600x1060 ? would buying a single link cable help at all ?

Can I buy a single link cable to get up to like 1920 or 1600 ? or am I stuck forever with 1280x900 ?

the checkbox and all the text is grey'd out. I can change the refresh rate from 60 to 59 but thats it for that page. I just tried switching the DVI port with no success and the cable has a big yellow tag that says dual link dvi cable (it came with the 30")

its grey'd out. If i dont have a dual link port on my card will I still get some use of this Huge monitor ? i would be fine if it ran at 1600x1200 or 1920x1200.
