Getting real pics tonight...
But the 4870 X2 looks like this
275$ + shipping
The GTX 280 SLI is voltmodded by K|ngp|n himself
199$ each + shipping
I got a good deal on some 295s and 285s so I want to get rid of both These are prices that I see are a little lower than ebay at the momment :)...
Looking for 999$ shipped, assuming shipping is 150-200$. I can do 800$ picked up in the 29650 area. I would rather not ship but I can try to meet you between Charlotte and Atlanta.
Jinu is not making these anymore, so this is your last chance to pick one of these up!
The evap unloaded...
True, nothing wrong with using what you have. I even have a SAS drive that I will use.:p
But two 120gb vertexes is plenty of storage and its fast.
I load levels in cod4 with one X25-M more than twice as fast as a friend with 640gb WD raid. The speed that it gives in windows in general...
Pretty much all the good SSD tech is on the ocz forums.
You should still get 2-3 of them. It is crazy how fast windows is with just my single X25-M
I need to grab some insulating material to put my second computer together.
Core i7 on phase with the Vertexes :)
I have a single 15k...
My challange to you Mr I SEE RAID CARDS
Make an array of SAS drives for under 1000$ that can do 7000+ iops in iometer and hit 1gb/sec on ATTO.
4*60gb Vertex raid 0 on HIghpoint 3520
Crystaldisk mark 64 bit with 1000 size to overcome controller cache
IOMeter with "4kRwr" testfile...
@ nitrobass24
I got this Kid's Daddy here, You will not see him again.
Long live the SSDs guys :)
Lets use a Webserver or IOmeter!
Who cares if it is 1.2TB when it is 2000$ His question here is simply what is fastest with the 2.5" 73gb 10k rpm drives in the 500$ range that he has.
Clearly...
What I like here is how at the end of page one, Mr "I know raid" starts using IOPS to show us how 4x 2.5 10k sas drives are faster than two modern SSDs. I think he even mentioned power consumption somewhere... LOL....
So your twelve 7200 RPM SATA drive array with software striping can do 500...
I hate to shatter your little world, but 4 vertexes will shatter anything he is doing with SAS.
You are proud that your little 4 drive SAS array does 350 mb/sec.
ONE Intel X25-M does 250+ mb/sec.
One SSD = THIRTEEN 15k Sas drives in Random IO per Anandtech.
10k 2.5 in sas drives do like 90...
