    Dell U2515H

I have 2 of these, one is hooked up with an HDMI cable into the HDMI port of my graphics card and the other uses a HDMI to DVI cable into graphics cards DVI port. The colors seem to be a bit different between the 2. I'm using the same settings and ICC profile. Any way to align them color-wise?

    So stick with pre-built then?

    Replacement for dead QNAP NAS

So I posted this on another site but got little to no response so lemme post here, I KNOW I'll get better feedback here. My QNAP TS-410 NAS was struck by lightning about a week ago (not really sure whether it's just the power brick that's dead or the NAS itself but that's another story)...

Windows 7 and OSX dual boot issue...

Ok so I had my PC running with Windows 7 for a while now and it just runs like a champ. I want to get into iOS development but don't wanna shell out for a Mac JUST to develop to I set up a hackintosh. But my question involves an "issue" I have with the dual boot. So basically, I have Windows 7...

    OSX on a PC...some questions

So I wanna start dabbling in Apple app development but don't have a Mac and I don't wanna shell out for a new one right now so I'm looking to install OSX on my PC. Basically I've seen some guides on building a hackintosh but they seem to be hardware specific. Now my questions, firstly...

SSD to NAS file transfer over gigabit - why only 30MB/s?

Ok, for future reference, what is the answer? (I'm assuming its not one of these pre-built NAS boxes like Synology or QNAP)

SSD to NAS file transfer over gigabit - why only 30MB/s?

SSD to NAS file transfer over gigabit - why only 30MB/s?

Ok well I definitely have 5 and 5e, haven't checked any of the other cables in my house yet. Will try a file copy with the 5e later on today and see if that helps and then with a 6. I have another stupid though: Here I'm talking about speeds from PC to NAS, but what about file transfers...

SSD to NAS file transfer over gigabit - why only 30MB/s?

Is there any way to tell if it's straight or twisted? The writing on the cable?

SSD to NAS file transfer over gigabit - why only 30MB/s?

Dammit. Will play around tomorrow a bit and see if I can squeeze out any more using 5e or maybe 6.

SSD to NAS file transfer over gigabit - why only 30MB/s?

So is there no way to send files to the NAS from my PC over the network at speeds greater than 30MB/s?

SSD to NAS file transfer over gigabit - why only 30MB/s?

So when copying stuff TO the NAS I should look at the write speed? If so, that table quotes 25.7MB/s but I get 35 consistently, how does that work?

SSD to NAS file transfer over gigabit - why only 30MB/s?

Ok well it seems that the cable I had connected was CAT5 but I do have a CAT5e cable lying around so I'll retest the transfer speed using 5e and report back tomorrow. Apart from that, having all the latest drivers and firmware and whatnot, I should be expecting closer to 100MB/s, right?

SSD to NAS file transfer over gigabit - why only 30MB/s?

Will try setting it up. But how exactly will that help in determining why the transfer speed is not closer to 100MB/s as it should be?
