So here we go. Received unit a few hours ago and got it all set up. Knock on wood. I believe I received a Jesus unit and I hope it stays that way. No stuck or dead pixels, no buzzing, hdcp compliant and a very recent build. Revision A03 built in May 2016. Once setup and calibrated. I fired up...
Did you get a bad one possibly? I don't have any dark corners on mine. I know I seen some people complaining about it though. This display is awesome. Very pleased with it.
Just got mine in today from newegg. Got it on sale for $249 with $10 off promo code as well. I am coming from a Dell U2412M and have since put it in another room. This new one is the true successor to the U2412M. Better in every way. Accept for the build quality. It has taken a big hit imo and...
Apparently buying from Dell directly. They will ship you out the latest revision. Retail is not a guarantee as it could be old stock sitting around. Best Buy has it on sale for $296.99 with free shipping. Fantastic deal. Example I bought mine from walmart.com a few weeks ago. Mine is revision...
The HP is nice. But it has banding issues and its very common with that unit. Unless you lucked out and don't have that problem. Certainly test for it in case you do have it and wait to long to take it back. Then you are stuck with it. That is 1 reason why I went with the Dell. Give and take I...
Are you inside or outside of the 90 limited new replacement warranty? I just read on the Dell forums. If you are with in 90 days of the new purchase. They send new replacements. If you are outside the 90 days. They send you refurbs. And if that is the case. Chances are you will never get the...
When I got mine brand new about 2 weeks ago. All I cared about was not having stuck, dead pixels and flickering. I have none of those issues and minimal ips glow. Imo. That is a near perfect unit and I kept mine. Its all up to you man. Here is the problem. You know these issues exist and know...
If you have brightness on high. That alone is enough to create eye strain and fatigue. If you got stuck with the really bad flickering. That is even worse and unbearable.
dvi-hdmi cable would take care of that I think? I have one myself but have not needed it yet. You worked with the U2410. I am curious. How is the build quality compared to the U2412M? Much better? From pictures I have seen. The U2410 looks better build quality wise.
Funny. I was in the same position as you a few days ago. Pay $100 more for the U2410 or save $100 and grab the U2412M. I am a gamer as well like you. I pulled the trigger on the U2412M. I could not be happier and really like the monitor. My previous monitor was a HP 2311x 16:9 1920x1080 tn...
I just got mine a few days ago from walmart.com Mine is revision A03 and has a manufacture date of May 2012. I was actually a bit worried as it seemed like really old stock? I have no dead or stuck pixels. I also have no flickering. Seems like I lucked out and got a great unit. I came from a HP...
