Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I wouldn't recommend the Element Q unless you want to use on-board graphics. I just built a system inside one and couldn't get enough cooling without mounting fans where the graphics card would be. You could mount the fans on the opposite side (where the second HDD is supposed to mount, but...
Are you talking about the DH67CF? There's a 4-pin power connector between the CPU socket and the DVI jack. Or are you talking about a different 4-pin connector?
Overheard shot of the board in this link...

Lets you install three 3.5" hard drives in three consecutive 5.25" drive bays. Plenty of space between drives for cooling hot or high-performance drives. Comes with cage and fan. No box, no screws. Includes front-mounted quiet 120mm fan with blue LED lights for great cooling. Fan grill included...
Good news. After leaving the monitor off for more than 12 hours, it would appear the persistance is gone. I guess the moral of this story is that screensavers are still worthwhile with LCDs. Currently using this thing for Windows:

I have an IPS screen (not a Dell) and I notice the purple effect, too, though I don't really notice it until the screen is mostly covered with black. I think I got a good price on the monitor, so I'm just going to live with it.
I think this is probably true. I just bought a Sony S205F, a monitor that flatpanels.dk reports to use a LG.Philips LM201U04 IPS panel (apparently same as the Dell 2007FP, NEC LCD2070NX, and a bunch of others). Today, I just noticed that I have "persistence" from leaving a DOS-based diagnostic...
Hi guys. Anyone know how to paint un-primed metal?
Here's my story: Just bought a black/silver CoolerMaster Stacker.

Unfortunately, the dim-wits who did the finish at...
I just bought an open box model from CompUSA the other day for around $320 out the door. It's a pretty nice panel, but I'm probably going to return it.
Won't go past 1280x1024 when connected to my GeForce FX 5200 via DVI but works fine on an old Radeon 9500 Pro (despite having the monitor...
Back from the dead. Ha!
I just bought a Turtle Beach Audio Advantage Roadie from Fry's for $66 (open box). Installed RMAA 5.5 and ... got really disappointing results compared to the other sound cards I have. All results 16/44.1 and recorded through the AAR.
Turtle Beack Audio Advantage...
I was *this* close to using ReiserFS for my RAID5 array, but I backed out used EXT3 (with data+metadata journalling) instead.
What do you mean when you said it took over a minute to mount? According to docs and my own experience, it takes more than that to mount large file systems because it...
WTF? I just bought this case. And I just bought the DiamondMax Plus 10 drives on (near clearance) sale at Fry's a month or two ago.
No, you have a good point. After I put everything in, I realized that everything everyone said about the P180 being a little tight is ABSOLUTELY true...
Doesn't quite compare with some other systems posted, but it's good enough for me!
Antec P180 case
Antec Tri-Cool 120mm fans in rear, top, bottom middle, and middle front
No-name 80x15mm fan (5V) over expansion slots
ThermalTake iCage + cross-drilled face...
Yes, I am brining back a six-month-old thread. :p
I just discovered today that my EPoX EP-8RDA also has blown capacitors. Five bulging caps at the VRMs on the side opposite the CPU, one bulging cap at the VRMs near the DIMMs. My symptoms were the same as the OP: Vdd was going all over the...
