Yeh now I know why trixx bumped up the temp as soon as I ran it, I've got a lower voltage bin 1.05 and it set it to higher.
Afterburner let me drop voltage down to 1.03, was still running 1125 happily but temps stayed the same so I just left it at 1.05. No point in me trying for > 1125 cause...
Thanks I'll give it a go. I tried trixx but at the min voltage setting it's actually running higher temps than whatever it was at stock - not impressed...

I'm running grid projects on an HIS 7970 24/7 and have it at the max settings in the CCC performance panel (1125MHz), but to bring temps down was wondering if anyone had any advice about the best tool to undervolt it (while being overclocked)? It's the thermals that are the issue for me...
