Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
The guide I found showed putting your max voltage in the adaptive field, but when i put 1.35v in it the reported voltage seemed to blow right by 1.35v. I'm starting to think you're supposed to put how much voltage it can add, not the total. So in my case I'd want to put in .15v since the stock...
Ordering the rest of my PC wasn't about hype/emotions. Many of the parts I had researched and chosen were going in and out of stock quickly at the time. By ordering early I could take my time to find the best price and catch items in-stock. I figured when the 6700k came in stock there would be a...
I called the customer service when the first combo batch showed up last Friday. She had to "check on something" I assume that means talk to a manager, but then she processed me right through with the CPU only.
I don't know if it mattered that this was the Newegg premier customer service line...
I haven't overclocked since a Q6600 so excuse me if I'm a little behind :o
How do you tell if your processor is stepping down? AI suite always shows me at 4.5Ghz
I also tried the adaptive voltage setting on my Asus Hero, but it didn't seem to be doing what it should. AI Suite always reported...
It also depends on where it's shipping from I think. A lot of the people saying theirs shipped came out of California. Mine is still in packaging, but it's shipping from New Jersey. That's quite a few time zones difference, their day was pretty much over in New Jersey I assume.
Yeah I did the same. A little disappointed it didn't ship today, but then I figured it was so late in the day that was to much to hope for. 3-day shipping will probably put us at about Thursday next week if it goes Monday? Part of me wished I'd have paid for quicker shipping, but I didn't want...
I called customer service and explained that I already bought an entire system worth of parts from them (minus CPU) last week. She pushed through an order for me over the phone CPU only. She said she got it in before it went out of stock, but I guess we'll have to see if it ships. Phone ordering...
I wish I could say everything is going smooth. It doesn't seem like it shipped today, it's well past closing time in Germany and I never got a shipping notification. I sent an email asking if there were any problems. I haven't received a reply, but I did sent it at what would be towards the end...
That's a bit of a stretch. Just looked at newegg, the 5820k is $389 and their cheapest motherboard is $162. So that's $550, and that's without even bothering to see if that motherboard is worth buying.
The $450 is also my to the door price, depending on where I order stateside I often end up...
I gave up and ordered a 6700k from Germany yesterday. ~$450 shipped, but then at this point I'd have ordered rush shipping (and maybe tax) once there was stock here anyways, so I can't count all the $100 as extra cost. I noticed the website says out of stock this morning so fingers crossed mine...
