Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
OCD? Cheap LCDs? To me CRT is fuzzy, darker darks (not even noticeable any more) but less pop even with calibrated accurate colors. Geometry issues, higher resolutions hurt my eyes even at high refresh rates.
I've been using smaa injector a lot since I got the 2560x1440 screen. It helps get back a bit of the performance that was lost. Not that its 100% necessary in every game with a 680GTX though.
I agree they should sell both at an option. There should be some way of having a screen without AG and placing it on the monitor as they get ordered. Especially when you get to high price screens.
FYI I went from 25.5" 16:10 to 27in (IPS) 16:9. Screen is WAY better but it did seam a bit small when I first put it on the desk. The vertical size is actually a tiny bit less.
I have a 27in achieva shimian and it looks great and is advertised as glossy. One of the best I've seen right up there with the CinemaDisplay (almost identical). I've seen a specific HP 24in monitor at a client site that nobody wants to use because the wall of windows behind everyone makes the...
I can only compare it to my Samsung T260. Image quality is much much better on the Shimian. But we are talking IPS vs TN. It actually does look pretty comparible to the 27" Cinema Display I looked at the other day.
Not sure if anyone answered this as I could not find this information before I ordered myself. I got the Shimian and it says hdcp compliant in nvidia control panel and I'm able to watch live cable.
I just replaced replaced a p67/Realtek with a z77/intel board. On the realtek I have had random connection issues on the media center extender. Both devices hard wired 1Gbit and not dropping packets. The Realtek never had issues with normal internet usage/browsing/gaming though.
IDK I had a 295 and its the worst card I have ever had. Would have rather had two 285's. Although some issues were SLI related so I prefer a single GPU.
I might not even have it for more than a few months. I'm putting it in a system that will likely require underclocking it and larger cards kill airflow. Was thinking of a 7850 but want to stick with Nvidia. This may just hold me off until an 8" or so aftermarket card (660 ... MSI Frozr, etc)...
I wanted EVGA but saw "pre-order" on Amazon for Zotac and 5 minutes later it became available (for like a minute lol)... My order confirmation also came through sayin gin stock :) BTW did NOT want to go much over $499 so this was pretty good.
