Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Okay, I could definitely use your (or anyone's for that matter!) advice then. I just bought my cards about a month ago and have been unsuccessfully looking for a way to silence my cards. I need a single slot solution, so the zalmaan stuff goes out the door.
But given the recent spate of 7900...
I've got a pair of XFX 7900GTs in SLI and they pwn all the games I throw at it without issue. Only problem is the bloody noise from the fans which run at full bore no matter what the load. The noise is driving me nuts!!!
I didn't see much mention of apps that came pre-installed with this machine, apart from EZTrust A/V. What else was put in here? Any junkware/spyware etc? I am sure you would have mentioned spyware if it was there, but you know what I'm talking aobut (AOL, etc etc)
I haven't even bought the speakers or the TV yet. I suppose if I get discrete speakers I will need a reciever to handle all the inputs or I can get logitec speakers and and use it's digital co-ax.
Actually since the money I have saved up will be used for the TV, would it be possible to do a...
No definitely not dedicated by any means! It's my main PC..but I want to be able to watch vids on the big screen when I want to. I don't have optical outs on my sound card. I seem to have one on my mobo, but I mean I have a decent sound card...I'd like to use it if at all possible. So I would...
Hi guys, I'm trying to setup a HTPC of sorts at home, but I'm having some trouble figuring out the audtio connections for it. Basically I have a PC with a 7800GT and an Audigy 2 Zs.
The Audigy has the following connections:
Sound Blaster® Audigy 2 ZS On-Board Connectors

No, it's definitely 1+3. 1+3 works for sure. I'll have to try switching the modules and seeing if it works. I'll be amazed and pissed if it does though :)
Yeah sometimes the SPD settings aren't detected properly by the BIOS. Do what eclipse said and u'll get to run ur mem at the rates speeds at the very least.
Coz we gotta push the limits :) If u think about it, each pair is matched within the set (ie. Corsair match each other and the Mushkins match each other) and each set is on a different channel. So really, we SHOULD be able to run this dually :) Actually I just felt bad seeing two perfectly good...
From the CPU socket, I'm using slot 1 and slot 3 for the Corsair pair (1Gb each) and slot 2 and slot 4 for the Mushkins (512 each):
c - Corsair
m - mushkin

No what I meant was CPU-Z reports the actual frequency of RAM not the data rate (i.e 100Mhz and not 200Mhz) whereas the BIOS was reporting the data rate and not the freq (200Mhz instead of 100Mhz). So I was wondering why i was getting two 'different' freq readings at first. I know 100Mhz =...
I did that already....I tried changing the MemClock setting in the bios to 200 but CPU-Z and Everest all show 100.xx Mhz. Which kind of sucks because once I look at the POST info, I see that the DRAM clocking is set at 200Mhz
So I upped the timings into the 3 range hoping that...
Mav, good call. However that leads to further questions on my part :(
In CPU-Z under the memory tab, it says:
DRAM Type DDR-SDRAM
DRAM Size 3072 MBytes
*****************DRAM Frequency 100.5 MHz***********************************
FSB:DRAM CPU/22
CAS# Latency 2.5 clocks
RAS# to CAS# 2...
