Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
If you're sticking with your current PSU, I would recommend a 970 so you could SLI later, CF290(x) is iffy at best on 750w, especially with an overclocked processor.
I'd pick up a 970 with good overclocking potential, for G-sync compatibility, low power consumption.
Black Friday/Cyber Monday are always good times to pick up on deals.
The AMD alternative is FreeSync, and I'm curious as to how that's going. Most of the FreeSync-to-be monitors I've seen are...
Definitely the 970. The mITX version put out by Gigabyte opens up the possibility of tiny rigs that can max out a 1440p monitor while staying well under the 500w power limit of most SFX PSUs.
