I just bought a whole new system, including a 10k rpm 74 gig raptor. When I boot up, the HD doesn't make any normal sounds. It seems to spin up a little, make a really soft click, and try to spinup again. When it is about to be detected, it spins down and the BIOS becomes responsive.
