    HD6850, 300w 80+ bronze enough juice?

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but I found a new resource for anyone who finds this thread and is looking for the same answer. Shuttle has posted a power calculator now: http://global.shuttle.com/support/power And you can use that to determine if your build will require the upgraded power...

    HD6850, 300w 80+ bronze enough juice?

Based on the info on this thread I have held off buying anything... waiting to see if a 6770 will come out that will be more likely to fit my power envelope.

    HD6850, 300w 80+ bronze enough juice?

I like the shuttles for their small size, quiet operation, and good integration. I understand it's not everyone's cup of tea. But I've been very pleased with their construction, reliability, and because I do a lot of computer stuff with my day job I just kinda wanna come home to something that...

    HD6850, 300w 80+ bronze enough juice?

One of the original thoughts i had would be underclocking/undervolting the graphics card to reduce power consumption. would this be effective, and would it be worth it? Or would underclocking it defeat the purpose of getting the faster card? So far it sounds like best bet is to wait for a new...

    HD6850, 300w 80+ bronze enough juice?

The only info I have is what's printed on the side of the PSU. A previous post in the thread was kind enough to link to a picture: http://www.madshrimps.be/articles/article/1058/Shuttle-XPC-SH55J2-Barebone-PC-Review/3 +12v1:16 / +12v2: 16 / +5v: 15 / +3.3v: 12

    HD6850, 300w 80+ bronze enough juice?

Danny, I thought both the core i5 7xx and Core i7 8xx have the same max TDP (95W)? It sounds like either way though the 6850 is a no go so I guess I'll wait for a 67xx series or some other low-power nVidia option to spring up early next year. Thanks!

    HD6850, 300w 80+ bronze enough juice?

I currently have a i7 880 CPU, two DIMMs of DDR3 RAM (4GB total), one SSD drive (intel) and a green WD drive (640GB should only take 6W according to my research). Other than my current video card, that's everything. Thanks for your help. EDIT: Should say my current video card is an EVGA...

    HD6850, 300w 80+ bronze enough juice?

Well I guess that's good news. Will the 6850 be a possibility on this particular PSU, and if not what is the best option?

    HD6850, 300w 80+ bronze enough juice?

I am in the same boat - I also have a shuttle SH55J2 with the same 300W power supply and I'm trying to figure out what the best card I can put in it is. I have pretty much nothing in it other than an i7 880 (95W), an SSD and 2 DDR3 DIMMs. Thought about a 5770 but figured that it wouldn't be...
