Robots, self driving will be some, seismic data analysis of all sorts has been going on for more than a decade, oncology to detect cancer, anything for which data and result exist (personal assistant will be a common one), try to think about who...
Came here to confirm iCUE is terrible. Never again. I only buy Corsair products if I can be sure I can do everything I want/need to without installing iCUE.
One of the 8TB shucked WD EasyStores in my NAS started throwing errors then went offline, so I picked up a couple of these $82 12TB Seagates to replace that pool. Arrived the other day, hoping to install and test tonight.
If you're comfortable with the CAD, 3D printing is an awesome solution for ducting in builds. A drawback to such well controlled flow though is the increased risk of critical yet not major components accidentally getting cut out of the flow path...
Fun project! I'm following along.
I've been toying with the idea of using my 3D printer to make some custom ducting and parts to fit as much cooling as I can in an ITX case 😂 Once Zen 5 launches I'll likely do a CPU upgrade and move from the...
Wonder if it would be possible to rework just the male end of the connector to prevent partial seating. Then PSU and GPUs are unchanged and it's just a drop-in cable replacement. Pinout and profile would have to stay the same, but clips/locks and...
For sure... OC'ing is always luck of the Silicon Gods as we all well know over the last 30+ years... lol. :) If you can keep your GPU at 100% with much less stutter, you are doing better already with your configuration. I lucked out with a...
Turned off CPPC, set VCORE to 1.35V. Highest I could get the multiplier was 42.75, which produced nearly identical results as with PBO on:
With a better binned CPU it may be worthwhile to do the all core OC, but in my case I think I'll just...
If I was buying a PSU now I'd want ATX 3.0, which those three are. They look like solid options. FWIW I built a system for a friend over the summer using the platinum version of the MSI, and I was impressed.
I would say you could maybe get away with it with a quality 750W PSU if you didn't have much else drawing power, but the fact you say you're powering tons of disks makes it an easy call. Get a new PSU.
Note you can power limit most 4090s quite a bit with minimal performance loss. I have my 4090 FE limited to 70% in MSI Afterburner and am entirely satisfied with framerates at the resolution and settings I prefer in the games I play. Cutting 100W...
