Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Got the info from the Antec link.
Based on the reviews of GTX 680 reference models. the peak power consumption is around 353W, which derives to 29.5A. I dunno how it'll be handled for this overclocked card.
Hope things will be fine.
Thanks you all.
One question, how you guys are converting the amp requirement to watts ? Considering P = VI, you guys are giving P given I ... so what is V here ?
As per evga, 38A is not for the entire system, but rather for the card alone.
Since it's overclocked from the reference design, would like to know whether it'll be an issue ?
If there's a load on a single rail above 28A, will my system shuts down then ?
Moslty I'm planning to go with...
Hi,
I'm planning to buy EVGA GTX 680 FTW 4GB edition and replace my age old GTX 295.
As per EVGA's site, the recommendation is 38A on a +12V rail. I've cooler master real power pro 1250W which has six +12V rails and the highest amp among those didn't exceed 28A.
Do I need to...
