Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
True, but doesn't the riser's offset PCIe slot create enough air gap behind the GPU that the GPU's PCB should never come close to the center divider and/or PSU, correct?
While that may be true, many motherboards have undersides with very sharp pointy bits from things like through-hole...
The voting options were only a single port vs widely-spaced dual ports, not motherboad-style stacked square dual ports.
I also have concerns that a regular USB 3.0 internal cable is simply physically too large, too long, and too stiff for this application.
Some random musings...
Is the plastic center shield on the correct side? I thought you'd want to wedge the riser cable between the center divider and the plastic shield in order to keep all the sharp metal on the back of the motherboard and GPU from penetrating the sheilding of the riser...
That's why I said I think the case needs ~10mm of additional vertical height. It would enable much better SFX-L support (especially if Silverstone or other manufacturer changes their cable design), along with 25mm thick fans on the top and, possibly, 2x80mm fans in the rear (with snap-in IEC...
Does anybody know of any low-profile USB 3.0 19-pin connectors? The usual USB 3.0 internal headers are comically massive and the cables are stiff.
The only low-profile ones I can find are from modDIY...
Honestly? I'd take #4 or #5 from the poll, but in a 2-port version in a little square cut-out like you see on motherboards.
I'm one of those people who uses standalone audio equipment and honestly can't remember the last time I used front panel audio.
Now that I look at the case all loaded up, I think 10-15mm(?) of additional vertical height should be added to the case. This should enable 2x80mm rear fans, a snap-in IEC receptacle above the RF shield, and much more cabling free space for the PSU, especially SFX-L units. If you moved up the...
I have to agree on this one. Having a non-italic logo in the lower-right really does work much better. I'd also try to have a black USB port, if at all possible.
Another thing to consider would be to offer a dark gunmetal color as an option or even the default color...
I think most people would be OK with the ability to have 1x3.5" _or_ a 4th/5th-slot second GPU. Pick one. :)
Also, what's the technical reason for a single 92mm in back vs 2x80mm? If it's the IEC receptacle, would it be possible for the back panel to hold the receptacle on 3 sides and the...
This case really, really needs two front USB and can probably skip the front panel audio. I honestly can't remember the last time I even used front-panel audio jacks on a desktop PC (really...), never mind a HTPC (which is never).
I still say the diagonals are a horrible, horrible idea. It clashes with your overall design aesthetic, draws the eye in the wrong way, and screams 1980s consumer electronics in the worst possible way. The "optimized slot" vent design you had earlier is much more pleasant to look at.
I do...
