actually, the higher capacity not waste. example:if you used 500W power supply, your systerm need 230W, the reset of the 500w's power not used fully(270W not used)

ha ha ha,maybe the battery is not younger,aging! you can use a mutilemeter to measure the each battery in UPS!normal statues:12V

or your power supply's capicity not enough? and your power on swicth on case aging?(can't back to original position)
