Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I think I'm going to stick with my old Cooler Master Elite 130 Mini iTX Case. It still looks nice, and is in pretty good condition. Maybe I'll do a build log.
I just transferred 700GB's worth of data in a few minutes, yesterday. Slowest speed was 480MB/s, fastest up to 1GB/s. Limiting factor was probably the enclosure I was using, and maybe the NVMe SSD I was using. It's better than waiting overnight for the files to transfer, and waking up to find it...
I'm finally doing another iTX build since my BitFenix Prodigy (White) with a i5-4670K and ASUS Z87-I DELUXE. I have no preference for color, but have been eyeing this SGPC K66 Lite, except it's a bit pricey. I might re-use the BitFenix Prodigy, and I also have an old Corsair 250D an old Cooler...
Get a USB4 adapter and connect it via the USB4 port (40Gbps). You may need to shuck your external NVMe SSD, though. If you're using 2.5" SATA, then USB3.2 2x2 (20Gbps) should be fast enough.
I remember at least a decade ago, that I wished they made motherboards into a cube shape. I think someone made a prototype or something a few years ago? Maybe it was a dream. 🤷♂️
I'll might try it out one day... I got tired of FPS games, even tactical ones, with all the cheaters/hackers. It just wasn't fun, anymore.
Yeah, I gamed at 1440P (and still do), and could feel the bottleneck with the 3930K and DDR3 with web browsing and 2K gaming.
I just found it crazy people...
Well, with the Tick-Tock cycle, it's always been:
1. Make it smaller, add more cores = Tick
2. Make it more efficient = Tock
Every now and then, they'd try something new.
With powerful graphics cards and higher resolutions, it gets less CPU-bound. Most applications are now utilizing GPU's...
To be fair, every country does this, they're just the main manufacturer of goods these days, so they get noticed the most. There are no international patents, just agreement pacts and what not. Just like how Japan's auto industry copied the U.S.'s and improved upon it from the 80's onward...
I finally got my m-ATX test bench up, and I put an iTX motherboard on it with a delidded i5-3570K with an RX 9070 16GB. Unfortunately, it's not an overclockable motherboard. Still, I was curious how it would do at 4K, and I was actually surprised.
It took forever to get into the game, all 4...
