Yes they are full of shit because I have the MS-7030 v1.90 BIOS on my hard drive. I thought I was going crazy when I visited their site because they took it down so quickly. Battlefield 2 runs smooth even with fast writes on and overclocking my vanilla 6800. I do get a stutter here and there...
I have a MSI K8N Neo-FSR/Platinum and a 6800 OC. Battlefield 2 stops and sound loops for 5-10 seconds every 15 minutes. I use all the drivers that MSI posts on their site and have the 77.77 forceware.

I cleaned inside the AGP slot and wiped the card's contacts. It finally fired up ok. I practically had to put my whole weight on the thing for it to seat properly, though. Something is out of spec. Thanks for the suggestion TheMostWantedPolishTwin.
