Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Well, I did have everything cranked up and some servers are better than others. Any validity to using just one GPU as opposed to SLI? I know some games are better optimized for SLI and some aren't. Didn't think it affected ARMA much? :)
Would you activate it from the Nvidia Control Panel? If that is the case, I could have sworn it defaults to multi gpu and I would have overlooked any other options in the cp.
Anyway, that would most certainly be unfortunate to unknowingly using half the card's potential as not knowing this...
Hah, nah! I'm just inclined to think Arma II is just crazy demanding at that resolutions and settings. I have read that Batman AA has a capped setting of 60fps that needs to be manually changed. Looks and runs great though.
Unfortunately, BF3 refuses to connect to any servers and I am not...
I should also add (although I notice it doesn't mean much) that my Windows experience score for this card is a 5.5??? For real, Windows??? To my knowledge the onboard graphics are not running as the device manager only list the Nvidia card.
I'm getting some pretty sorry FPS on very high settings (v-sync and AA off) for these two. Of course, I bought ARMA II for Dayz and I have heard that ARMA was horribly optimized but I didn't expect to be getting only 30 FPS on both DayZ and ARMA II. Also, Batman Arkham Asylum pushes only 60fps...
I think I am going to check out the Tt Water 2.0 Pro 120mm radiator. I think that'll mount on the back and since I'm not planning on overclocking cpu past 4.2, I think it may work out just fine. Fingers crossed!
I'm going to purchase a Bitfenix 230mm spectre pro to mount in the front and I'll...
Well, I maybe better off ditching the optical drive and buying an external. If I were to mount a H100 on top in a push\pull configuration with Noctua fans and a 230mm or 200mm up front, do you think this would keep the GTX 690 where it needs to be, without an overclock? I know I couldn't mount...
Okay, got everything but the case and I'm still hung up on if this is what I want or even if it can handle the heat?
I'll be removing both HD trays to open some space up. I'm also putting two 120mm Noctua fans on the front.
GTX 690 (slight bump to bring both gpus to same speed)
