I read on the creative's forum that there will be new drivers by the end of this week for audigy 2 zs.

I'm using a Pentium D 805 right now, but I'll upgrade to Core 2 Duo when price drops lower.

I ordered some some 120mm case fans online. If it does not cool down, I might get another cpu cooler. By the way, what cpu cooler are you using?

I'm having the same problem myself. Temps are 70-75 idle if I close the lid of the case. The max temp on Intel's site is like 63.

I have Bose Triports(around ears) and they are quite comfy compared to the Sony and Sennheiser headphones that I have.

I'm having trouble with the beta drivers, so I'm using onboard sound.

With creative's beta drivers, my audigy 2 sounds horrible, so I'm using onboard sound.

I downloaded Realtek AC97 drivers and now have 6.1 onboard audio.

I have an Audigy 2 and I'm having trouble getting more than 2.1 audio with the beta driver. Are you able to get more than 2 channels? Thanks

lol.. Why not? Runs smooth on my "nForce2" athlon 3200xp, 1GB ram, & radeon 9600. Vista Aero gui looks great.

Does anyone know any working alternative sound card that outputs greater than 2.1? I have an Audigy 2 and onboard Nvidia soundstorm. There are no vista drivers for my soundstorm and audigy beta driver only outputs 2 channels.

iTunes has a mp3 encoder. Go to preferences>advanced>importing. Change setting to import using mp3 encoder.

Foobar for quality "lossless" music. Itunes 6.x for media library organization and ipod.
