    Viewsonic 930b or Samsung 193p+...?

Yup. Hopefully, the new Viewsonic will be the next step up from the VP191b, an excellent monitor.

    Viewsonic 930b or Samsung 193p+...?

Pain medication. I just had a right total hip replacement a few days ago. My apologies. He did ask about the Viewsonic, so I took that to mean the VP191b. The 930B is a Samsung, not a Viewsonic, monitor, hence my mixup. I don't really know which monitor he is asking about. Ok, now I have seen...

OK, WHAT IS THE DEAL with Samsung Overdrive and "twinkling" problem in movies????????

The 193P+ is a better monitor than the 930b, and they get confused a lot. I have a 193P+ and I have not noticed any sparkling or any artifacts while playing movies. I believe the 193P+ is slightly superior to the VP191b.

    Viewsonic 930b or Samsung 193p+...?

I believe he was asking about the 193P+, not the 930b. The 193P+ is a fantastic monitor. In many ways the 193P+ and the VP191b are very similar in actual performance. I ended up with the 193P+ because of superior build quality, better blacks, better movie playing, equal gaming performance, and...

Samsung SyncMaster 193P Plus: A Review

I actually paid $50 more for the 193P+ over the VP191b and I count myself as getting a GREAT value. I was ready to pay $150 more for the Samsung anyway. Better color, better style, better quality and better customer support than Viewsonic. IMHO.

Samsung SyncMaster 193P Plus: A Review

And don't discount the difference between the 6-bit and 8-bit color quality. For me, I found a much bigger objective difference in that feature than in any other. I really did not like the 6-bit panel color quality. It was VERY visible side-by-side, and very noticeable to me. I refused to buy a...

Samsung SyncMaster 193P Plus: A Review

Forget the PC World test. I do not believe their testing protocol is has any value. Compare the test and write-up with ANYTHING on LCD displays on Toms Hardware and you will see my point. I believe we have a fairly decent subjective side-by-side with the two best 19" LCDs out now by cretan, and...

    LCD Choice For Gaming

You are welcome. After the Toms Hardware review of the newest Viewsonic monitor, which I also got excited about, when it turned out to be a dog, I was back to the two original ones, because of speed and 8-bit color. I am very happy with the display and the overall physical quality of the Samsung.

    LCD Choice For Gaming

Samsung 193P+. Also, the Viewsonic VP191b. I will tell you why. First, I chose the Samsung because of poor quality issues with Viewsonics I and my IT friends have had in the past. I don't know if that is really an issue with the VP191B in particular. These two monitors are Overdrive 8-bit...

    LCD selection

Take a serious look at the Samsung 193P+.

So the Viewsonic VP191b is the best 19" gaming monitor?

I think it is not a point of whether the CRT is better than the LCD in an absolute sense, which we all agree it is, but that the visual effects that are seen or not seen on the LCD are VERY subjective. The facts are that some people see these effects on the LCD and it bothers them too much, and...

Anyone Sighted a 193P+ in black.

Yes. The red wine translation is correct. Also, the 193P+ is an awesome monitor.

So the Viewsonic VP191b is the best 19" gaming monitor?

I have had the 193P+ for a few weeks now and I can say that I am mightily impressed with it. It is overdrive, very fast, excellent color and blacks, and the viewing angles to me are amazing. I have personally never seen an LCD monitor with such wide viewing angles, and it gives up nothing in...

Samsung SyncMaster 193P Plus: A Review

It seems that that reviewer had no ghosting issues, as well as the monitor not having been tested in a similar manner to Toms Hardware tests, so I still am waiting for a real full review for this monitor. My experience with my 193P+ is that it seems to be as fast as the VP191b, but that is ONLY...

    ViewSonic VP191B Black 19" vs. ViewSonic VX924 Black/Silver 19"

If you go to Toms Hardware, there is testing of both of those which shows the VX924 to be far inferior to the VP191b.
