    8800gts Memory Clock question

    FYI, I used ATITool for my eVGA 8800gts 320, and got it up to 630/950. ATITool worked a little better for me than RivaTuner, so you might want to try both (not at the same time, though...) Good luck with your OC.

    You are correct. I should have been clearer. I was referring to my 965P-DS3 rev 3.3 board. That's the one that I had cold-boot issues with. I forgot that Gigabyte also has a P35 board dubbed DS3 as well.

    I have one, and agree price/performance is tough to beat. I run at 1280x1024, and eye candy all the way up hasnt been a problem in any game except oblivion. I have to turn it down just a bit in that game...AA at 2x, lower custom grass textures, but thats about it.

    Unfortunately, I can't try 500 fsb...haven't been able to get my RAM up to 1000mhz. The highest fsb I could get was 450 with a 2x ram divider and 7x cpu multi.

    Thanks for the tips. I'll definitely start researching some P35 boards. I hadn't realized there were a couple boards that were in the $150 range. My cold boot seems to occur at just about any OC setting. I could bump it up from 266 to 300, and it'll have problems. currently at 400 now.
