im running a z77 which may have the same issue as the z87, and if i cant find a solution to the problem sometime tonight i'll be taking it apart tomorrow to have each part checked.
its a possiblity, im having a frined lend me his ram for a quick test to see if theres a problem with that ram, but as far as i know g.skills ripjaws 1X8 arecompatible, same voltage and everything
im using a cooler master 212 evo, and no, no beeps
EDIT: found a 2 digit diagnostic post card with old supplies, the psu gives full power and when it does turn on fully the card says 60
its a new build and i just put on the heatsink today, i followed the directions to the dot so i doubt its the heatsink, but im not sure.
EDIT: not sure why, but its running right now, no problems except i still dont have video output
not sure if it came with a speaker or the led, but i dont see the led and when i forgot to push the ram all the way in it beeped, so i'll assume the speaker. this is my mobo http://us.msi.com/product/mb/Z77AG41.html
I originally did forget to plug in the cpu power connector and while it was similar, the power would just turn on and stay off. This time the fans flicker on and off in timed intervals.
the motherboard oddly enough didnt come with screws or offsets, had to use the offsets that were already in the case and screws from an older junk computer.
As the title stated, the computer i'm building isn't posting. The fans and the l.e.d's will come on briefly (4-7 seconds) then turn off, everything is plugged in as it should be (i know this because it occasionally will stay on). Not sure if this is related or not but when it does stay on there...
Alright, having looked at those reviews I've decided to take you're advice and not go with the corsair 750w PSU, instead I'll probably go with the XFX 550W you showed me. Also, if I have enough, which I should, I'll get a 270 or if there's a sale or deal a 270X.
