    I run a 4p with 6176SEs overclocked with [H] bios to about 2.7 GHz CPU frequency and get over 400 000 PPD with WU 8101. If you can get 62xx ES (Engineering Samples with unlocked multiplier) chips you will be able to overclock them much higher - at least over 3 GHz - which gives over 500 000 PPD...

    At least the component that burned is easy to work on and replace - if that is the only damage. It could probably be removed using a heat gun [with shielding for the surrounding components]. Sending in the whole board for repair can however be rather costly... if it is not covered by warranty...

    I'm running 3.3 GHz now with the same vCore 1.1750 V. Power draw about 1000 W at the wall and temps low 50s. TPF 09:24 for WU 8101 which gives a PPD of 600 000. It is freezing outside now (-5 degC), and the rig is close to an open vent. Pretty cool stuff!
