I am playing F.E.A.R. and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. with this display and am using an eVGA 8800GTX. I'm not seeing any ghosting whatsoever in any of the dark places and only get a tiny trace amount of tearing with Vsync off. My eyes are very sensative to things such as ghosting, etc and I'd see it is it...

This does work for XP....See post #218 in this thread (or this post in the FP241W thread. Since I made the changes, the black outs in XP went away. Oddly enough, I do not get this issue in Vista at all.

The poor Sony was/is doing random things that are annoying like turning itself off, suddently becoming blurry, etc. It would repeat these problems over and over during the day. More annoying than anything.

I get the exact same thing and its somewhat annoying.

I have a question for others using the 241XX Benq panel. I have the 241WZ. Desktop text looks great using DVI input and standard mode, but if I switch to any of the other modes (photo, dynamic, movie) the text immediately gets blurry and I can't seem to change it. The sharpness settings also...

Just last week I upgraded from a Sony 24" FW-900 CRT to the new Benq 241WZ 24" LCD. My biggest gripe is the loss of true black with the LCD, otherwise the LCD has superior color (other than blacks/darks) and far better desktop text clarity than the CRT. The LCD actual viewable screen is also...

I did actually. I have a 42" for the HDTV stuff, DVD and the X-Box. The Benq is strickly for the PC.

I have two of these monitors that I purchased on Ebay over the years. Both now have some issues. The first one will suddenly start to loose focus and get fuzzy at random times. If I turn it off then back on, it is clear again but it may get fuzzy again a few minutes later. This does not happen...
