Hello Everybody!
i have added [d]mantra to the list, and added your new clocks worthIT. ;D
i have also added the LDT Frequency to the list, as i have since found out that knocking the LDT down to 4x can make a big difference to clocks sometimes ;o
and i have changed the wording to say i'll...
wow, you're going all out aren't you?
and here's me struggling to get a 100% stable overclock of anything other than stock speeds ;p
my mobo was reported 'Delivered' on Thursday 24th March, and i haven't had a single email from Scan yet confirming that my board is even there... i'm going...
i sent my mobo back on wednesday, they should be getting it tommorow morning...
which means i probably won't get my board back until tuesday now... :( (monday being a bank holiday)
soon as i get my system back up and running though i'm gonna have a go at that crazy 3.8Ghz overclock. and...
awesome, my idle's are at about 22c with my cooling setup. - sometime in the future i want to upgrade a few parts like the cpu block and the pump/reseviour as they look rather 'standard' and i hate the high pitched (although quiet) sound that my pump makes ;s
do you think a D5 pump and an...
did you post that right?? CPU core is at 80c while the water temp is only 29-30c ?
sounds to me like you haven't seated your CPU Block properly or used too much thermal paste... or none at all? even with a bog standard block you should be getting 50c on idle at the very most with water temps...
tried flashing to bios version 1102 rather reluctantly... because the machine freezes in the bios i was afraid it would freeze during the bios flash and fuck my whole board up... which it DID !! - except it froze after the new bios was written, so i managed to restart the pc and it worked with...
oh no, the CPU still works.. i removed all un-neccisairy components and swapped out the cpu, ram, and graphics card with brand new ram, cpu and graphics cards (luckily we had just ordered 3 brand new C2D machines with 8800GTX's so i used them to test my system) ... and nomatter what i swapped...
Thanks for the reply cap232, i'll update the file and get it posted up for everyone...
i've had a few problems with my system lately :( because of the poor nvidia drivers i took all my overclocks for a while, but the newest 150+ nvidia drivers (i use the 165.01's) seem to have fixed ALOT of...
both me and 2 of my friends have the khandalf with almost identicle systems;
myself and my friend who also has the QX6700 are both reporting temperatures in the Striker Extreme Bios at default clocks and voltages to be 18-20C
my other friend uses an E6600 and in his striker extreme bios at...
i'm using the standard thermaltake khandalf LCS cooling that came with the case.
my readings are coming from asus probe 2, latest version. and the bios temperature monitor.
a good watercooling setup can get a little expensive depending on what level of watercooling your after... to cool both your cards and cpu with a full custom watercooling system could cost anything from £200 to £350 i figure... my ideal system would have cost me about £260 for example.
i've...
temps under load are typically about 24-30 (i've never seen it go above 30)
as another comparison, idle temps at stock speeds/voltages were as low as 17-18 on my bios temp sensors.
seeing as we've now ventured onto page 2 of this thread i'm going to upload the data file for all to download...
I've got a Thermaltake Kandalf LCS Case, it has a built in water (Liquid) cooling system (hence the LCS).
so with a watercooled chip, at 3.3ghz i'm getting about 20-24c temps.
i plan to upgrade my watercooling system at some point... i want 1/2" ID tubes, the storm cpu block and the MCP655...
