And synergies were years after the release of LoD, not just D2. A lot of the superior items in D2 Classic were rares, not uniques. I don't recall any set being worth wearing in Classic, either.

I have never been affected by hacks in a Blizzard product (played WoW from 05-06, D2 years prior) but I am very careful with my gaming machine, on an almost paranoid level. I won't use the system for usual browsing, like forums, social media, searches, etc. I use my netbook or phone for that...
