Good video, makes some interesting points. I always wondered why some of the older emulations had microstutter in them.
I've been meaning to get a GSync monitor but from what I've seen there aren't any glossy ones :(
Bought this and finished a playthrough on normal as a melee shaman - took about 18 hours. Died twice: Once to the boss in the prison, hit me with a point blank shotgun attack for 4k hp. Second was to a hero before the final boss that dealt way too much vitality damage. Game was pretty much what...
I really want this game to be good but I'm wary. My biggest concern is that it was originally touted as an open world sandbox PVP game, but then the Koreans cried and got it changed into a PVE carebear fest with heavy penalties on PKing. Problem is there's no substantial PVE endgame content such...
The real interesting part of those system specs is the required 50 gb drive space. I wonder if that's just an estimate (due to being the size of a BR Disc) if it's the expected size.
DS2 was only 18.5 gb in comparison.
Still using winamp for the global hotkeys support. Being able to pause, switch tracks and adjust volume without having to switch to the program is great.
I realize there's keyboard that have this kind of feature built in but the implementation and layout isn't standardized by any means.
Don't forget a large majority of players are spending time with DOTA and LoL instead of other multiplayer games now. Everything else has suffered in lifespan as a result.
I think the last Bethesda game that shipped with a passable UI was Morrowind. It was ugly but it worked.
Oblivion's default font was Xbox huge. FO 3 suffered similar issues. Skyrim's just felt really awkward with the way skill binding and the map functioned. From what I've seen FO 4's isn't...
From what I saw from Blizzcon last year, the auto-aim skills are intentional. Blizzard realizes not all of their playerbase is capable of (or desire to) play a twitch shooter but they still want them to be able to contribute, so you have abilities like this crop up. Similar things were mentioned...
The real trick is finding a TV that doesn't have terrible input delay. Unfortunately my TV has about 300 ms of lag and makes any type of game that requires precision very annoying to play.
Steam reviews seem to paint a very negative picture of Anno 2205. It's missing a lot of features compared to the previous game and appears to lack any replayability.
Diablo 3 *definitely* had (and still has) performance issues with the sound quality turned up. Wouldn't surprise me if it's the same case with HOTS. Ever since 2005 all of Blizzard's engines have had terrible quirks or performance issues, makes me sad really.
Am I the only one that thinks the low setting looks better than ultra? It smooths out the edges more. You're looking at the frickin' sun - I wouldn't expect the image to be sharp.
I'd guess it's CPU bound. Blizzard's engines tend to cap out on CPU due to poor multithreading long before maxing out on GPU. HOTS is just a modified version of the SC2 engine, which from a quick search seems to only utilize 2 cores.
Also you didn't specify what resolution you were trying to...
Wait a second, the new weapon relic traits are basically the old talent tree brought back in a different layout?
