Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I just upgraded from the last Preview version and now it says its not active and that the product key has been blocked. Anyone else have this issue? How did you resolve it?
I would also look into if you will need HDMI 2.0 with HDCP. If so your going to be capped at 30p or 30fps for that port on your current Samsung. Displayport 1.3 would be ideal but I don't know any monitors or TV's that fully support it at the moment.
Can one of you if even possible check to see if the Silicon Image SiL9679 chip is being used for the HDMI 2.0 port on the Vizio P and/or the 900 series cards. If it is then this is likely part of the problem everyone is experiencing.
What could be happening guys is the HDCP 2.2 issue which last I read nerfs HDMI 2.0 down to 4k/30hz. It might just deliver 4:2:0 or 4:2:2 color as well. Once I get confirmation that Maxwell delivers 4k/60hz 4:4:4 color and provides HDCP 2.2 over that connection then it might be time to jump on...
There are quite a few receivers coming out in the next few months with HDMI 2.0. I have my eye on the Marantz SR7009. I am hoping that will be worth keeping for a good 5-6 years at least.
I wish some video cards or motherboards would start utilizing Displayport 1.3 or HDMI 2.0 for 4K but I...
Doesn't the HDMI 1.4 limit you to only 30HZ for 4K content? I would say use the most recent DP connection for the 4K and save the HDMI for your 1080p content. Or wait for the HDMI 2.0 cards that should be coming out soon.
