So im searching for the CRT screen height equivalent of the FW900. Would it be a "21 inch" monitor? I'm guessing if it was, an F/C520 would probably be the best candidate for this?
Thanks for any help.
Well, im using 2 Kingwin ball bearing fans that are loud as lower-heck, so Im hoping it wont be any louder with the low-er rpm sleeve fans.
I used one of those PSU calculator things and it told me around 339 watts. I realize its probably ballpark, but its still under, so i thought i might be...
Nah i wasnt implying dual PSU, though that would be pretty interesting. Never thought about that actually.
Yeah its for the system in my sig. I bought 2 packs of these which could hardly be considered anything special.
So i guess ill try the FSP and see if it does any good. Thanks for the...
So I ordered about 8 fans to go into my CM690 case, and a new 500gig HDD. I also have a spare power supply lying around (FSP SAGA+ 400R [400watt]) that i want to use. I'm just slightly worried that adding 8 fans, plus the new HDD, and another 2 IDE HDD's that i dont have installed yet, would put...
Yeah i might as well keep it for awhile. I installed freeNAS on it to try it out, and it seems to do very well. There's an option in the BIOS to disable the second processor so it shouldn't be as bad (but yes i know, a lot more heat/expense even still). It even has a SCSI interface, though i...
Ah ok. That would probably be a better idea. thanks for the response.
I think it is dual core though. I see two heatsinks inside. I found that this is a server type of PC too, a Precision 530. But ill just throw it away as you suggested, heh. The GFX card fan sounds like its going out anyway. . .
So a friend of mine came across an old Dell in storage. It has a decent 1.5GB of memory RDRAM and such. It also has a dual core Intel Xeon 2.8GHz socket 603. I'm pretty sure it would be a "Prestonia" or a "Gallatin" processor if wiki is telling the truth. Anyway my question is this Dell any...
I realize that the MDR-V6's aren't regarded for their sound quality, but they do a good job of isolation. I use them for mowing the lawn sometimes too. Comfort is so-so. Your ears will get hot eventually, but its not too bad really. I also own AD700's and I love the comfort of those babies. But...
Never tried any of the following headphones except the MDR-V6 and the ATH-AD700 which i both own, but they seem to have pretty good and flat response, which is what you are after for i assume?
And are you sure you don't need to spend over $100? You could get pretty nice ones for less then...
I own the AD700's also, and i can say that soundstage is amazing with these. But everyone should know that the bass on the AD700's are less then what the "average joe" might consider adequate.
Anywho, since 40% of the music you listen to doesn't require too much bass, i think you will be...
I do believe that these FW900's have a common problem when the Flyback Transformer tends to go bad. When it happens, many people here report the popping-fuzzy-then-all-clear act the monitor goes through.
I think the part number is "NX-4504" or something along those lines. Not sure exactly...
